8:25-9:10        Minimal Pruning in Wine Grapes

                        Leif Olsen of Olsen Brothers Ranches will discuss their experience (costs, quality, and feasibility) farming minimally pruned Riesling.

9:10-9:40        Canopy Management Equipment Demonstration

VineTech Equipment will offer a demonstration of both existing and newer canopy management tools for your vineyard.

9:40-10:15      Drive to Red Mountain – Hedges Family Estate

                        John Gomez, Vineyard Manager of Hedges Family Estate will discuss his experience with field grafting and variety change-overs.

                        Dr. Pete Jacoby, Washington State University, will discuss his recent research on sub-surface irrigation strategies and plant response.

2) Lav Khot – Washington State University – Aerial and ground sensing in agriculture production (with demonstrations).
