Student Recital: Machado Mijiga, saxophone

Come and enjoy a palindromic exploration of classical and jazz saxophones presented by multi-instrumentalist Machado Mijiga on Friday, September 30th, 2016. Mijiga will be performing two movements of composer Paul Creston’s world-famous Sonata for Eb Alto Saxophone, Op.  19, an acapella performance of a crossover piece that exists both in the jazz and pop world, and two installments from Saxophonist/Bassoonist-Composer Ben Wendel’s most recent album, “What We Bring”. Because of the symmetrical nature of the recital, it is aptly named “Mirror Images”.

This concert is open to the public and without charge.
