In this part thriller part drama, both acclaimed and attacked by film critics, Isabelle Huppert gives one of the most provocative performances of her career. Michèle, the character she plays, is one of these women who seem untouchable. As the head of a video game company, she leads her business and sentimental life with absolute control. Her life, however, takes a dramatic turn when she is raped in her own home by an intruder. Unaffected, it seems, by this tragic event, she starts stocking her aggressor.
