About the event

With the economic downturn, more and more people who do not fit the stereotype of homelessness are losing their homes. With the decrease in affordable housing and minimum wage not paralleling inflation, more people are fighting to survive and finding themselves below the poverty line. According to The Economic Policy Institute, the real value of minimum wage in 2004 was 26% less than what minimum wage was valued at in 1979. The CCE puts on engaging events to educate the community and encourage you take action on hunger and homelessness issues. You cannot put effort in fixing problems you do not know are there; fight poverty with knowledge.
