Non-Required Student Recital: Alison Poteracke, composition

The Washington State University School of Music will present a jazz concert free to the public at 8pm Wednesday, March 22, in Kimbrough 101 at Washington State University. The concert, Alison Poteracke’s Composition Recital: “We the People”, will feature WSU Jazz Band I under the direction of Brian Ward. The band will perform original compositions by graduate TA Alison Poteracke, and will feature many of the school’s most talented soloists and ensemble musicians.

WSU Jazz Band I has received many honors and awards including winning the collegiate division at the Lionel-Hampton Festival this spring. Alison Poteracke directs WSU Jazz Band II which also received an honorable mention at the Lionel Hampton Festival.

 

This concert is open to the public and without charge.
