This musical revue celebrates the wonderful collaboration of John Kander and Fred Ebb, from their smash hit of Cabaret in 1956, through the triumphs of Chicago to their final Broadway hit Curtains in 2006.  The show will also include some of their film music such as the theme song from Marin Scorsese’s New York, New York, made popular by Liza Minelli and Frank Sinatra and songs from Funny Lady, originally sung by Barbra Streisand.  Directed by Dr. Julie Anne Wieck, the cast consists of WSU students Katerina Tsatsomeros, Hannah Annonen, Andrew Turner and Will Melish, accompanied by Regan Siglin.  Julie Anne Wieck and Lori Wiest, music faculty members, will also join the cast.

 

The production will be in Bryan Hall Theatre on July 22, 23, 29 and 30 at 8:00 p.m.  Tickets will be available at the door.  Students and senior citizens – $10; General Admission – $15.
