Jewett Observatory Open

About the event

The James Richard Jewett Observatory and its historic 12 inch refracting telescope (the largest in the state) will be open for free public viewing. See double stars, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies.

The observatory is at approximately Grimes & Olympia – look for the shiny dome on the hill top.

Between your turns at the eyepiece, battle for the Jewett Observatory Pokemon GO gym and learn some sky lore from members of the Palouse Astronomical Society.

Event cancelled in the case of clouds, fog, or rain.
