Humanities Week Event – Roundtable Discussion

About the event

“Four Glimpses of Scholarship in the Humanities: A Roundtable Discussion” will be held in the Honors Hall Lounge beginning at 4:30 PM.  Dr. Jennifer Thigpen [History]  will serve as moderator for the following presentations:  Dr. Victor Villanueva [English], “The Language of Columbus’ First “Indians;” Dr. Michael Myers [PPPA], “Empathy and Religious Diversity;” Dr. Linda Heidenreich [CCGRS], “When There is No Space: The Death of the Queer Mestiz@ Body in Nineteenth-Century Greater Mexico;” and Dr. Christopher Lupke [DFLC], “History and the New Human in Contemporary Chinese Poetry.”  The roundtable discussion is being hosted by the Humanities Planning Group at WSU and is free and open to the public.  A reception will follow.
