Equinox, the Washington State University Faculty Brass Quintet will perform in Bryan Hall Theater on Tuesday evening, January 23rd. The group will perform the third movement from the Delanoff Concerto for Brass Quintet, a work by Jared Spears entitled Four Miniatures, and the famous Four Sketches by the composer Anthony Plog. The ensemble will break down into smaller groups during the evenings performance and feature a trio by Drew Phillips entitled Motivic Moments and a 6 movement duet by William F. Funk. Equinox features Christopher Dickey on tuba, Sarah Miller on trombone, Martin King on horn, and Noah Austin and David Turnbull on trumpets.

 

Proceeds from ticket sales in the series benefit the School of Music Scholarship Fund. Tickets, on sale one hour before performances in the lobby, cost $10 general admission, $5 senior citizens (55+) and non-WSU students and free for WSU students with ID.
