En Chamade:

On Thursday, September 21st, the School of Music at Washington State University will present a concert featuring the groups En Chamade and Equinox. David Turnbull and Jill Schneider make up the trumpet and Organ duo En Chamade, They will perform two pieces: a concerto by Alessandro Marcello (originally for oboe and strings—transcribed for trumpet and organ), and the Sonata in C by Tomaso Albinoni.

David Turnbull and Noah Austin, trumpet; Martin King, horn; Sarah Miller, trombone; Chris Dickey, euphonium

The second half of the concert features Equinox, the Washington State University Brass Quintet. David Turnbull and Noah Austin play trumpet, Martin King plays horn, Sarah Miller plays trombone and Christopher Dickey performs on tuba. They will perform Quintet No. 2 by Victor Ewald. To end the evening, the two ensembles will join forces and perform Carlyle Sharpe’s Prelude, Elegy and Scherzo for brass quintet and organ.

Faculty Artist Series: Proceeds from ticket sales in the series benefit the School of Music Scholarship Fund. Tickets, on sale one hour before performances in the lobby, cost $10 general admission, $5 senior citizens and non-WSU students and free for WSU students with ID.
