DVD Documentary: Slavery by Another Name

Join the Diversity Events Subcommittee for a brown bag lunch honoring Black History Month.

We will be showing the DVD documentary "Slavery by Another Name", the first 45 minutes on Wednesday February 20th and the second 45 minutes on Friday, February 22nd.

This documentary challenges one of Americans’ most cherished assumptions: that slavery in the U.S. ended with the Emancipation Proclamation, however, as chattel slavery came to an end after the Civil War, new systems of involuntary servitude took its place with shocking force and brutality of forced labor.
