About the event

The Associated Student of Washington State University will host a 5K run to raise money for the Cougar Health Fund, a student-driven endowment that sponsors sexual assault and mental health awareness initiatives on the WSU Pullman campus.

The Cougar Courage 5K takes place Sunday, April 22, at 10 a.m. and is sponsored by the Associated Students of Washington State University (ASWSU), College Hill Custom Threads, the WSU Panhellenic Council, and the WSU Interfraternity Council.

Proceeds from the 5K will go directly into the Cougar Health Fund to enable and empower student advocates to promote mental health and wellbeing and the prevention of sex and gender-based violence (i.e., sexual assault, stalking, and intimate partner violence among WSU undergraduates.)

“This 5K is one way for our Cougar family to come together to support and spread awareness about the issues of sexual assault and mental health,” said Garrett Kalt, ASWSU vice president and endowment led. “ASWSU is committed to hosting similar events in the future to raise money for this cause.”

Pre-registration costs $10 and on-site registration costs $12. Participants will receive a t-shirt courtesy of College Hill Custom Threads while supplies last.
