4th Annual Blindfold Brunch (Hosted by Guiding Paws of the Palouse)
About the event
Guiding Paws of the Palouse is an official club under Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB). We get our puppies from GDB and volunteer to raise these puppies from 8 weeks old to about 15 months old. We socialize them and teach them basic obedience, good house manners, and how to behave in public places. After they complete their training with us they will go to one of the two GDB campuses for formal training where they will learn the tasks of guiding someone with a visual impairment. Although not all puppies make it through the program, that doesn’t make them failures. Career changed dogs may be considered for other nonprofit programs such as Dogs for Diabetics and Dogs for Better Lives (formerly Dogs for the Deaf). If a working career is not chosen for the puppy then they go on to be a pet!
Event Details
Guiding Paws of the Palouse is having their 4th Annual Blindfold Brunch. At our blindfolded events, we provide our guests the opportunity to spend a few hours gaining insight as to what it is like to live with a visual impairment and to experience some of the day-to-day challenges they face. This year our caterer will be Happy Day Catering from Lewiston, ID.

-Freshly brewed Tully’s Coffee (with Flavored Creamer, Sugars, and Sweeteners on the side)

We’ve also resumed production of club merchandise after finalizing our new logo! All of the following products will have our new logo. We will also be providing a “Mom’s Weekend 2018” Limited Edition option for sales through this event.

*You can purchase these items when you buy your ticket and they will be available for pick-up at the end of the event. We know many of you have a designated ticket buyer so your party will be seated together. We will have limited quantities of pre-made items without a specific buyer, so email us to guarantee any items you want!
