WSU Blended Learning Fall Release Party

About the event

Join us at the Brelsford WSU Visitor Center for the release of the third and fourth wines from the WSU Blended Learning student wine series – just in time for Apple Cup! The WSU Viticulture and Enology Program will be releasing their 2012 Syrah and 2013 Barbera. Visit with students from the Viticulture and Enology Program while you enjoy a taste of all four Blended Learning wines.

WSU’s first student-made wine is a 2012 dry Riesling which received an “Excellent” rating by Great Northwest Wine, an online platform covering wine reviews and news. The second wine in the series is a red blend which is a combination of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

The blended learning course brings together students, growers, winemakers, alumni and wine enthusiasts. This series of wines is to showcase student projects, experimental wines, exciting new possibilities, and to celebrate traditions.

The Brelsford WSU Visitor Center features interactive displays and wall graphics designed to build public awareness, understanding, and support of the University’s life-changing teaching, research, and outreach activities. Browse the exhibits, meet up with friends, have your photo taken with the 15-foot-tall letters spelling W-S-U, and pick-up your essential Cougar merchandise including Cougar Cheese, WSU Honey and wines by Cougar alumni.

Not sure when, where, or how to get where you’re going? Let our friendly staff help you navigate through campus and Pullman, and answer any other questions you have along the way. The Brelsford WSU Visitor Center is your gateway to Washington State University.
