Service Giving Projects

About the event

Are you looking for something special to give a family member or friend for the holidays? From Dec. 4 to Dec. 8, the Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) is offering four special Service Giving Projects for students. Three will be in the Moscow-Pullman area and one will be in Portland for CyberCougs. The Pullman-Moscow projects include caring for public areas in Pullman with the City of Pullman on December 4, socializing with and providing manicures for seniors at Whitman Senior Living on Dec. 5, and assisting with environmental restoration and care with the Palouse Conservation District on Dec. 6. The Portland project, which takes place December 8, will allow students to help prepare and cook food for the weekly Potluck in the Park event to feed the homeless.

Students who participate in these projects will receive a gift card stating that they have completed two hours of service in honor of the gift recipient. This is a great way to give a meaningful, personal gift to a loved one while supporting your community. Service hours are not transferable to another student. Give the gift of service this season with the CCE! Learn more at cce.wsu.edu.
