Join Dr. Jonathan Himmelfarb, Director of the Kidney Research Institute at the University of Washington, as he discusses his research on, “Kidney disease and the public health: problems, progress, and prospects.” His current research interests include studies on a wearable artificial kidney; development of a human “kidney-on-a-chip,” development and evaluation of risk biomarkers in acute and chronic kidney disease; studies of oxidative stress, inflammation and insulin resistance pathways in kidney disease. the seminar will be via video conference in the WSU Spokane Nursing Building, Room 420.
