Palouse Cares Community Food Drive

About the event

Palouse Cares is an annual event where campus and community members come together to help alleviate hunger on the Palouse, and this year, Mayor Johnson has declaredSaturday, Dec. 7, to be Palouse Cares Day. Last year, the community collected 40,000 pounds of food and $30,000 during Palouse Cares. Help the community exceed last year’s number by participating in Palouse Cares this Saturday. Food drives will take place at ten locations throughout the region including events in Moscow, Pullman and Colfax. In Pullman, the event will be held at Zeppoz (780 SE Bishop Blvd), and participants have the opportunity to participate in a city wide food collection starting at 8:45 AM as well as a silent auction and BBQ lunch at 11 a.m. Students can register to participate in the food drive on CougSync. You can also have food at your home ready for pickup in any of the collection locations or drop off your donations at the designated event site nearest you. All food donations are delivered to local food banks, and all proceeds from the silent auction and BBQ lunch go to support local nonprofits fighting poverty on the Palouse.
