As a healthcare provider, have you ever wanted to:

  • Promote your patient’s engagement in health behavior change?
  • Encourage patients to set and achieve goals to improve health and manage chronic disease?
  • Address issues related to substance abuse?

The WSU College of Nursing is offering classes in Motivational Interviewing. The curriculum is grounded in the literature describing effective Motivational Interviewing training and is open to all healthcare providers, with a special focus on practitioners working in primary care.

The group sessions build on each other and include lecture, discussion, observation and skill practice.
